Lausanne, Switzerland welcomes the 11th edition of Bô Noël Christmas Market

Experience the charm of the festive season as Lausanne, Switzerland lights up once again for Bô Noël, returning for its 11th edition with more magic, more flavour, and more unforgettable moments. From 20th November through to 31st December 2025, the city transforms into a glowing winter wonderland filled with festive markets, gourmet experiences, family activities and dazzling entertainment. This year’s edition may even be its last, making 2025 an especially memorable year to visit.

Eight distinct locations across the city centre will host markets, performances, culinary pop-ups and themed festive zones, ensuring something special for every visitor.

What’s new for 2025?

Exciting highlights for 2025 include:

The Secret Room by Royal Savoy Hotel & Spa: an exclusive pop-up hotel room in the heart of Lausanne’s Historical Museum Garden complete with panoramic city views and, new for this year, its own wood-fired sauna.

A brand new festive space at Portes de Saint-François, featuring two floors of food, drink and celebrations, including the sky-high Hélibar Air Glacier.

Expanded treasure hunts, now offering two routes exploring the Cathedral, the Cité and the city centre.

• The return of the iconic 11-metre tall Christmas Tower, now featuring a brand-new raclette bar.

Across the city, visitors will also find newly curated food stalls, creative installations, and a refreshed layout offering smoother movement and even more corners to discover.

Ride into a delicious opening banquet

The Opening Banquet, scheduled for 22nd November, will kick off the celebrations with a grand Christmas parade on the Enchanted Train, followed by a gourmet feast prepared by Lausanne restaurateurs in collaboration with Lausanne à Table.

On 12th and 13th December, visitors will be able to try regional speciality La Grande Raisinée, a sweet reduced fruit pie that takes the winegrowers of Tartegnin 36 hours to prepare.

From Santa Claus to sledding pistes: classic Bô Noël traditions

Bô Noël wouldn’t be complete without its much-loved traditions, all returning for 2025:

Children’s Village on Cathedral Square: meet Santa Claus, enjoy pony rides, take part in hands-on workshops and listen to festive stories.

A Canadian-style winter zone on Rue du Lion d’Or, with a sledding piste, themed bar and boutique.

Marché des Papilles on Place des Pionnières, the beating heart of Bô Noël’s gastronomic scene, with flavours from around the world and a giant Christmas-tree carousel at its centre.

The Creators’ Boutique, home to more than 40 local makers inside a two-storey container structure.

Cœurnotzet under the Grand Pont, the cosy, iconic restaurant space beloved by returning visitors.

And of course, the popular Silent Disco of Bô New Year’s Eve will be back to ring in 2026 — location to be announced soon.
